do i have to reach rock bottom ¿

I am a musician and for my first single release I decided to shoot a series of photos and videos to promote my song on the week leading up to it’s release. The song talks about contradictory thoughts and emulates chaos and feeling at odds with yourself. That being said, I chose to really hone in on the colors blue and yellow for this because I felt like it perfectly fit both the aesthetic and the meaning of the song. Yellow is a very happy color and blue is a sad color so having those contrasting colors with contradictory feelings helped to future portray the meaning of the song.

Music Video

Above is the music video I made for this single. My main goal was to create a sense of calm chaos. I wanted it to feel soft but at the same time have crazy camera movements, low fps, flashing lights, etc. I also have a love for mix media so I incorporated some of that in here as well. In all honesty, ever time I watch this video I think of more ideas to elevate it. I feel that way about the song as well. However, sometimes an artists super power is the ability to accept where you’re at and move on. I would love to come back and revisit this song and project but for now I think it is a lovely time capsule for no only how I was feeling at the time but who I was as an artist at the time. I have a lot of love for this song and project and I hope you enjoy.

this song is not officially out yet but stay tuned in the coming months! the estimated time frame for release is late 2024
